Thompson Farm Beef Cattle

 

One thing that has always been a staple here on the farm is beef cattle.  We have been undergoing a change in genetics and breeds in recent years.  It is no secret that superior genetics give beef cattle traits that are disarable to breeders, buyers, and consumers alike.  Our switchover to Angus, Simmental, and Gelbvieh genetics has and will continue to be an on going process.

Our Herd Sire - DRF Special Focus Safari

 

This is the most impressive, and possibly most gentle herd sire that we have ever had on our farm!  With a pat on the nose and head he'll follow you across the pasture.  He's a good bull with GREAT numbers.
